Your role
Their team’s goal is simple: help organisations develop digital and technology strategies to implement changes that drive business value and improve performance. As an analyst you will be fully embedded in projects supporting clients on the technology transformation journey, helping to solve their trickiest problems as well as improve the way they operate and grow. This means having the opportunity to research cutting-edge technologies of every kind, across all major industries. On this varied and exciting career path, your projects could range from supporting a technology-enabled business transformation programme, to co-creating IT and digital strategies, and technology sourcing procurement engagements. About you
They know that as a soon-to-be or recent graduate, you may not necessarily have a tone of technical skills or experience, and that’s okay! At Deloitte, they value your ethics and the potential to grow more than anything else.
You’re someone who:
- Is in their final year of (or has recently completed) a Business, Finance or Commerce degree or a major in a related area – but they consider all backgrounds.
- Is an analytical and strategic thinker.
- Is able to handle ambiguity and think broadly.
- Has excellent written communication, soft, and adaptive skills.
- Has an eye for design, creativity and attention to detail.
- A resilient and hardworking attitude – whenever you work on a project, you give it your all!
- Has a basic understanding of Finance and Accounting processes and principles, and a deep passion and interest in data and emerging technologies such as cloud, cognitive and in-memory computing, blockchain and advanced analytics.
- Has an appreciation for just how important it is to have finance processes optimised and is excited about the potential that Fintech solutions can offer!

Cons
Timesheet and unitlisation.
The work can be tough and mundane as that is just the nature of the job. It has been hard as the interview process did not feel completely honest about what the day-to-day of the job actually entailed. Further, we are expected to do a lot of study outside of work for the first 5 months as part of a compulsory diploma all first year graduates have to do.
Organisational structure can be cumbersome/confusing.
Tight deadlines or turnaround... make it hard to plan out workflow sometimes.
A healthy work-life balance can sometimes not be encouraged by all.
